Asked by Anonymous - Ssrs Error Message The Definition Of The Report Is Invalid : I'm trying to deploy an SSRS report but continually get the message stating "the definintion of the report (name) is invalid".  The report change will not deploy because of this.

Anonymous Says: You need to look closely at the changes in your report, because this error means something in your syntax is screwed up.  It could be parms on the ssrs function calls dont match or something like that.  Look at the changes you made closely because something is off.

Anonymous Says: I've gotten this error a few times and it was because the parms on my function calling did not equal the same number of parms o the function itself.  Look for some type of "typo" in your logic as this error is basically telling you a syntax check on soemthing you changed has an error in it.

Anonymous Says: Thats just a bad feeling when you try to "deploy" and see the message definition of the report is invalid, it feels like you will now spend the next 2 hours trying to figure out what hte error actually is.
