It should be a law that companies automatically opt you "out" of any privacy related sharing of information unless you choose to opt in.  Instead, they try to bury it in documentation so you dont ever actually go through the trouble of opting out of privacy sharing with third parties.

Here is the email I just received, many pages long, and then I find this near the bottom of the e-mail.

Check the opt out in privavcy settings on everything because most stuff by default has it on so they can advertise or sell your information.

You have to check the privacy option on almost everything today because they default to spamming and selling your information. I was surprised how much junk I had to opt out of even on credit card.
