Posted by Guest - Screenshot Only Active Window On Mac :
I have a mac and I need to do a screen capture but it needs to be only the top active window showing. Everything I tried captures the entire screenshot which I dont want.  Any idea how to do this on a mac?

thanks

Guest Says:
Press cmd - shift - 4

Then press spacebar

Then you see a little camera like icon, just click that on your window and it automatically captures only the active window on your desktop as a png image

Also you can capture a screen shot of the entire desktop as you stated by doing similiar, cmd - shift - 3

If you are using a windows keyboard and not a mac keyboard, there is no command key.  You can do the same by pressing the windows button and treating that as the cmd key on the mac and follow the same instructions.
