Is there a place to get free music on my new iphone? I checked itunes but all songs there cost money.

All legitimate music from popular artists cost money everywhere! Otherwise its copyright violations as people dont work for free.
What you can do is if you have existing mp3 songs already, many dont even realize that you can use your existing mp3 songs and just add them to your itunes list and copy to your iphone. Really simple.
The other thing you can do is if you have old CD's, just use windows media player to rip them to mp3 songs on the computer, it works great and you can make digital music from your CD's and thats all perfectly legal since its your CD. If you want to get some cheap then pawn shops are a great place to buy used CD's for a couple bucks and rip all the songs to MP3 as stated.
Some up and coming artists put their mp3 songs on the net for free too, those you can download and add to your song list in itunes also, but all popular songs its illegal to steal so you should just pay the 89 cents or 1.20 or whatever it costs.
