Yeah I dropped the iphone into a sink full of water, although I pulled it out quick and dried it out for several days, its still acting wierd. Can I get a new phone for the $50 fee if water damage is covered under applecare?

If an iPhone or iPod has been damaged by liquid (for example, coffee or a soft drink), the service for such liquid damage is not covered by the Apple one year limited warranty or an AppleCare Protection Plan (APP). iPhone and most iPod devices that were built after 2006 have built-in Liquid Contact Indicators that will show (as described below) whether the device has been in contact with water or a liquid containing water.

Dropping a phone in the water is negligence on your part. Why would you expect anyone to just give you a new phone? Thats like saying anytime I want a new phone I'll just submerge it in water and then take it in for a new one. They aren't stupid.
