Posted by Daz - Xp Crashing :
A friend recently bought my desktop computer running Windows XP Home Edition.
He has been having problems with it crashing for no apparant reason.. when he is on the 'net or simply doing other things.
I am going over to have a look, thinking he could have cashe a problem with not shutting it down properly a couple of times causeing problems with the system files.
The other thing going through my mind is that here in the UK all PC's comw with 13amp fuses, but he has changed this to a lower amp.. either 5 or 3.
I tried to explain that the PC needs more power to run all the componants plus anything attached to by way of USB ect.. so thought changing fuse may cause him problems but wasn't sure.
Does anyone think this could have a baring on machine crashing?

How often does it crash? What are you doing when it crashes? Same thing each time?
