Main Question - Posted From Guest Mary:
I bought my husband an iPad and accidently bought an album of Rwandan music. I don't want it. I never have connected iPad to a computer b/c I don't want all my data going into his iPad and I think his computer is too old to know what to do with the iPad. What to do?

Guest Says:
The computer won't matter as far as being too old, just update the latest version of itunes on the computer, itunes is free, the latest download is at http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ You should be able to setup your own music list or separate music lists so it doesn't sync up accidently, etc

Do you know how to remove playlists/songs from the Ipad without removing them from the computer?

Guest Says:
You should be able to just highlight the song, press delete key, just like deleting from the iphone or ipod.

Dave Says:
When I highlight a tune from my song menu, no option to delete ever shows up.  I've tried sliding my finger to the left, as other "users" have stated, but nothing happens, no 'delete', no anything!  The iPad is the only device I have, and now I am stuck with three songs, which were free, on my iPad--and no way to delete them.

Guest Says:
no you won't see a delete option, I mean press the "Delete button" on your keyboard once the song is highlighted.  You can also highlight many songs at once so you don't have to do them one at a time.

These above do not work to delete a song or album from IPad.

removing itunes doe not help either

which connect to windows PC by USB, and delete album from iTunes, the album or song is deleted from iTunes BUT NOT FROM IPAD.  However, it is supposed to be deleted

I do not know what to do to delete songs/albums.  The answer seems to be not to add any more songs to the iPad since they can not be deleted.  However, this defeats the purpose of using the iPad for audio songs.

Guest Says:
In itunes you have to make sure the ipad is selected on the left.  If you are deleting songs in itunes they you are deleting from your itunes list only, choose the ipad on the left and you should be able to delete songs or albums no problem.
