Main Question - Posted From Guest:
My laptop is acting up (rebooting over and over) I would like to reinstall the system CD that came with the laptop and do a "clean" install. How do I go about doing this?

Guest Says:
Usually today your files you need to install with are in a hidden partition on your disk drive. When you reboot just follow the instructinos listed there before windows loads, it should have options to restore to factory settings and / or save some files, etc. I would backup everything you need first, restoring to factory settings means that everything on your hard drive will be lost

Guest Says:
also you can choose options to save files too, which normally means it saves everything in your my documents folders I believe, but just copy to a usb thumb drive as those are cheap and huge
