Hello I am getting an error message when I click on Windows help and Support icon on my desktop PC. It states Eindows cannot find `helpctr.exe` I tried Microsoft online email help but my PC knowledge is very limited and I did not understand. Can you help me please? Kind regards Rodney

Go to the microsoft.com site and search on the helpctr.exe file and see if you can find it. You will need that file if its missing.

"Windows cannot find helpctr.exe" .... anytime you get a file error like this then your file is missing or corrupted, first patch your system with windows update, then reboot and try again. IF the same windows cannot find helpctr.exe msg appears, download it as stated above. Make sure you donwload from microsoft.com though, I wouldn't trust any other site for a microsoft system file, as other sites shouldn't have their software programs on it and ms should have all of it.
