can I get cash for my old cellphone or where can I recycle my old phone for free? It's a samsung and its kind of old so I'm not sure if its worth much money.

Everyone should recycle their old cellphones because there are all kind of bad environment items in it like mercury and lead. There are beneficial things for those recycling also like plastic, cadmium, and nickel, all which can be reused or melted down and reused also. Don't just throw it in the garbage. You can take it to staples and they will recycle the cellphones free of charge so it costs you nothing, and if you have a newer cellphone then some online places will pay you a little cash for it (or even donate to charity), but mostly its good just to recycle it by dropping it off at staples.
