click the ipod song so the ipdo song highlights to show its chosen, then press the delete key on the keyboard. You will see it delete, make sure you choose your ipod (owners ipod or whatever name you called it) on the left so you aren't just deleting from your song list in itunes instead.

thats how I did it, except I just right click the song list on the right and click delete on the pop up window, probably the same as the delete key though
