AOL is really a version of Internet Explorer, so you should be able to delete it by using the internal IE cleanups. Some software programs also have additional aol cleanups built into them which do more, like Complete Cleanup at www.softdd.com It also depends on which version of the AOL client software you are running, but there are several AOL software versions still in use today and I think each of them are different.

software cleans up alot more of the browser tracks then the normal browser cleanups, I ran several rpograms including complete cleanup and they showed a bunch of stuff that was still remaining on my hard drive

AOL really screwed up with their AOL 9.0, their client software used to be a very good email software (which I like how it switched between multiple email ids within it), but they added so much garbage in it that I now just use thier free webmail. The free aol webmail is great by the way, very good spam protection and goodd features but their client software stinks now.
