No File Recovery Software - Files Still There?

When I run the "no file recovery" program it looks like the files are still there that I previously deleted, shouldnt all deleted files be gone? what gives?

Alot of times with the file wiping software, and this is true with most file wiping programs, is that the file names might still show but the actual data is gone. In other words you are seeing the file names as if you can recover them, but the data that is stored is now gone and not recoverable.

I've used this softwaer for a while now (figured why not since its free software) and i have not have any problem with it. It works pretty fast too, its best to just let it run for 20 minutes or so while you aren't on your computer, its scanning the whole hard drive so it does take alot, but its a good thing to have especially if you are selling your computer or donating it. Always go though and delete all your files and uninstall and remove folders, etc, then run this recovery software so files cannot be undeleted later.
