I do not know that much about computers but do have a question. I was using my computer the other day and all of a sudden the screen got all squiggly and the screen went off, there is no sound. I unplugged it then plugged in back in to the router and ac. The lights came on across the top of the key board and then it blinks about every minute or so. Nothing else is happening. HELP please. I miss my laptop and want to get it up and running ASAP!!

Did you reboot or just unplug the monitor or router? Shut the computer completely off, then power it back up after a minute or so.

thanks but I did that several times. there is no sound no picture. I checked the router everything is working there. I tried to play a dvd no luck. I tried the fn and one of the keys across the top as was recommended to me to no avail.

If you can't see your monitor then your options are limited since you can't view anything to try. You can plug in a different monitor to the laptop if you have an old one or separate monitor, and try seeing if your soundcard and video card are registering normally in your control panel - system devices, thats a starting point, otherwise you might have to take it somewhere to have them look at it.
