Main Question - Posted From Guest:
Is there a maximum number of bytes or rows for a db2 table? This is on the mainframe.

RDins Says:
It depends on several things, first off it depends what db2 version you are using. V7, V8, V9? What is the page size you have defined, or that your DBA's defined? Is the table segmented? I think most use segmented db2 tables, which is 64 gig I believe for version 8 or above (I think that 8 or higher), but if you are using partitioned tables then obviously that size is huge. Something like 100 terabytes or more, the bottom line is alot and even many larger companies probably don't need to partition like in the older days.

DD Says:
I think the max table size will also depend upon if you are on the mainframe, UDB, etc, DB2 can be on other platforms and that may also effect your max table size or page sizes.
