Is there a way to stop these ads in email between aol members? I believe they started with aol 9.0. I have tried to install aol 7.0 again, but it didn't have the "saved on AOL" feature I use.

AOL does have the "saved on aol" feature on their email, check it again. Actually the latest aol version is now 9.1. As far as I know you cant remove that banner, what you do on your pc might have nothing to do with it, they can just attach it by running the code on the server, which is how most ads are appended on emails so what you do on your pc doesn't matter. I think since aol is now free they are going more and more this way. One thing they don't realize is people won't use crap just because its free, if the software is crap and annoying then people will go elsewhere for free stuff instead.

aol email is one of the few things aol did right. their free browser email is one of the best browser emails out there today, probably the best spam filter of all I've seen too.
