Main Question - Posted From Guest:
Can 1 printer service 2 computers that are currently connected via a hub?

Reply From Guest:
Yes, the hub basically makes a network, the same way machines can see each other on the hub, they should also be able to share a printer no problem. Make sure you have turned printer sharing on.

From XP help section: To share your printer Open Printers and Faxes. Right-click the printer you want to share, and then click Sharing. To open Printers and Faxes, click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Printers and Faxes. You can also share a printer in Printers and Faxes by clicking the printer you want to share, and then clicking Share this printer under Tasks in the left pane. This option is available only if folders are set to look like a Web page and a printer is selected. For more information, click Related Topics. Printers are not shared by default when you install them on Windows XP Home Edition, but you can choose to share any printer you install on your computer.

if you have 2 different computer types, like a Mac and Windows..... it may be a little tougher, if both are Windows computers and both are XP, shouldn't be a prob.
